Woke up this morning greeted by grey skies. Went for breakfast with dad at Island Glades. Had difficulty finding parking spots. Finally told dad to run down and get a seating spot while I drive his car around looking for that elusive parking. Got one finally, parked and then the rain stopped, hallelujah. Ate hokkien mee, char koay kak and hot milo. What a pig again. Never ate so much breakfast in my life.
Then, off to the hospital to get mom discharged. She was more than happy to leave that place. She has had a bitter sweet experience from GH. Sweet because the orthopedic surgeon, Dr Bea was kind, compassionate, caring and professional. Bitter because the night nurse was obnoxious, irresponsible and almost caused mom to suffer an infection due to an open wound she refused to dress with antiseptic cream. The entire 4 night's stay cost us RM360.00. Mom was able to walk all the way to the restroom to change from her hospital clothes, with the aid of the walking frame. I am most proud of her and most importantly, she did not complain of any pain. Got her a wheelchair to take her to the carpark and off we went. I stopped by Queensbay Mall's Guardian Pharmacy to get her some antiseptic cream and some medicated plaster for her aching back (from sleeping in an awkward position throughout the 4 nights at GH). Came home and she was able to walk from the parking lot of her apartment block to the elevator to home without any problems at all. Praise God....
Settled mom down, gave her the 100 Plus isotonic drink and she felt good for the 1st time since surgery being able to consume something cold from the fridge. Then, she took a nap and had the best sleep ever. Nothing beats home I guess.
In the evening, went for my tennis session and played with the kids at 4pm till about 7.45pm. Played with Choo Eng too and had a game or two with Alan, playing 2 against 1. We lost, as usual as Alan was way too crafty for us with his spectacular drop shots which the fastest legs like mine n Choo Eng's wasn't even able to catch up on.
