31 May 2009

Last night, Sam and me stayed up till 12 midnight watching back-to-back episodes of CSI NY and the finale was intriguing. T4, this morning, slept till 8am. Feels good to be able to sleep in late without having to worry about school or tennis. Went to FCC with Sam today. Missed it much since we started our church hunting saga. Pastor Bill talked about Home Improvement and how to resolve conflicts the biblical way. How true it is said in Matt 7:1-5 that often times when we are judgmental, we tend not to look at ourselves in the mirror 1st. And I quote:

1"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

3"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

That brought the message home. Am glad to be back at FCC.

After church, went for lunch with Sam. At first we said we'll go to Boston Market coz Ed says that it is a restaurant like Fish Market. But, when we stepped into it, we were shocked to find that it's like a fast food restaurant and nothing like Fish Market. Inside, they had rotisserie chicken in all forms and sizes with the usual salad, soup and sandwiches. Now, that reminded me of Kenny Rogers in Penang. Both Sam and me looked at each other and decided to walk out coz we're not into chicken food today. Then, we decided to go by Marie Callender's and it was a better choice as I had tri-tip steak and Sam had fish and chips. We were greedy and ordered potato skins and french onion soup and by the time the main dish came around, both of us were 70% full already. So, we bagged the leftovers for dinner tonight. Perhaps it'll be another TV marathon....hahaha....
