The weather over last weekend was "murder". It was 96 deg F (35dC) in San Jose. Thank goodness I was in Pacifica for Sam's bowling tournament and since it is located near the sea, the temperature was cooler. But, upon reaching home at 6pm, the house felt like an oven. We had to turn on the AC to cool us and the house down. It was nice for an evening walk and Ed and me walked to Sweet Soleil for gelato ice-cream at 8pm. The days are starting to be longer and is quite bright still at 8pm so, it was a nice walk. But the ice-cream, hmmm...nothing to shout about.
Sam told me this morning prior to leaving for school that she's been nominated for the highest honor roll at school and she'll be receiving her awards tomorrow. She says in the entire school, only about 30 students make it to the highest honor roll and I am so proud of her that she's worked very hard to achieve what she sets out to do. Good job Sam.
I went for tennis practice with the 3.0 ladies today. Played with Elizabeth/Michael/Cherub. It was a pretty good day for me. Won the game 6-4 partnering Cherub. Won the game 7-6 partnering Eli and 7-5 partnering Michael. I pity Michael coz he's suffering from knee injury and he could barely run and all due respect to him for hanging in there for 3 sets as we rotate partnership. Thanks Michael for the grit and determination shown.
Then, came home to...what else.....HOUSEKEEPING lah. Aiyah, gotta clean the house. What is Monday without housekeeping? I think my life will fall apart if I don't clean on Mondays! Anyway, I was pretty efficient and actually finish cleaning by 6pm. After dinner, I cleaned both the bathrooms and was in bed by 9.30pm. Whoopee....tomorrow I can rest easy, until the next Monday comes along *LOL*
