Today, there's no bowling league as the season is over but we were there for awards and party time. Sam won 2 awards ie. Team participation which pays US$10 and a US$25 award for high scratch series of 694 pinfalls. Her team came in 3rd so, we missed out on the scholarship award very narrowly. Hopefully, the team will do better in the summer league.
Then, I left at 11.10am for CSF as I am playing my 1st 3.0W's doubles tennis for CH's team today at 12.30pm. I am partnering Xiao Lu and we are playing against Castlewood. We won the match 6-4, 6-3. 1st set, we were down 2-4 before I asked Xiao Lu to change strategy and thank God, we bounced back to win that set. It was a tough match and it's quite a challenge coz in the mixed season, I am the vulnerable player but playing a 3.0 match, the role is somewhat reversed as I have to learn how to set up points to get a winner. Boy, do I have lots to learn....
At night, we had a dinner appointment with Sveta and her family at Chef Chu's over in Mountain View at 7pm and the food was really good and we had a nice time chit-chatting and enjoyed the company. It's been a long while since we've gone out and today's a good idea to go out coz the weather is so hot and it was good to be able to wear a sleeveless dress all over again.
