Went for tennis training with Al this morning focusing on my shot selections and angles. Did miserably as I struggle with the angle out wide shots. But the serves seems to be coming in OK.
Had a pep talk from Al too with regards my playing tennis for other teams. He knew I signed up for two 3.5 women's team and one 3.0 women's team. He told me to lay off playing for these teams until the mixed season is over coz right now, if I continue to win my matches easily, the computer will pick it up and there are 2 scenarios ie. I either get bumped up to 3.5 rating or I get DQ-ed (disqualified). Either way, it is a lose-lose situation for Al coz as we go into playoffs, he needs to field his 4.0 male player. And since this is a 7.0 team, I am required to play every matches from now on. No escaping :-(. If I get DQ-ed, that will be worse coz all the matches I've played thus far will not be counted and I'll be a sitting duck!
I was due to play my 1st 3.5W's doubles for Thuy this Thu (4/23) at Silver Creek Valley Country Club but had to cancel it. Lucky for me, Thuy understood my predicament. I also changed my availability chart on the USTA website for all my teams informing them I can only play after May 31. And I am happy to note that all the captains were very obliging and helpful. Thanks Thuy, Sandy and CH.
After an exhausting day at tennis, came home to more housekeeping but upon reaching home, had to sort out my tennis schedules first and that carried me all the way till 2.45pm. Had to leave the house to go fetch Sam from school. Came home at 3.30pm and only started housekeeping then. Well, another long day... Did I tell you I hate Mondays?
