It was bowling league day again at Homestead. Sam didn't have quite a good start with a 150 score but she picked herself up, learn from her 1st game mistakes and went on to hit 196 and 195 for an average of 180 today. See, what I mean Sam when I say, you've learnt and that's all that matters.
After bowling, we went to Gulzaar for our lunch and we had the chicken samosa, chicken briyani rice, jebneh (like pizza with cheese) and rice pudding and baklava for desert. The food here is excellent and the briyani rice is one of the "best-est" I've ever had.
Then, we went to Fry's Electronics at Sunnyvale to look for Sam's birthday present. She wanted an ear bud headset for her MP4 and MP3 players and after browsing rows after rows of headsets and skull candy, we finally decided upon a Sony for $39.99. Well, this one is quite "canggih" as it has noise canceling although we're not sure if it's a good idea when she sticks one of these into her ears to tune us off when we are in a nagging mood, hahaha.
As for me, I bought her 2 Nancy Drew games (Haunting of Adventure & The Legend of Adventure) as her birthday present. Hope she'll enjoy solving all the mysteries but gotta remember that studies still comes 1st ya, Sam. I know you'll make a good decision and I trust you *winks*.
After Fry's, went on to Costco and bought all the stuff on my shopping list. The car was filled to the brim in the trunk and the back seat. If you all don't know what Costco is, this is a place where you buy stuff in wholesale quantity (just like our Cosmart in Penang). I had 19 items to buy but came home with 28 items. Hmmmm... talk about consumerism... this epitomizes it, hahaha. Well, I call that distraction and itchy fingers coz as we browse, we pick things up without realizing. Guess how much was the bill????
