18 March 2009

"OK, Houston, we have a mallard of a problem." Guess what? This morning, we heard duck quacks (again?) and I always thought they were afraid of lights or human beings coz I turned on the floodlight at 6.47am and they weren't the least perturbed by it. Then I ran outside and they were playing with me as I ran to one corner and they swam to the other corner. Argghhhhh.... Here's what they look like. I really ought to seriously consider going out to buy a gun and have them for dinner, hahaha, just kidding.

If they only swim in there, I am ok with it but they leave such a mess after them that it bugs the heck out of me and poor Kevin, my pool maintenance guy, he's having a hard time cleaning up after them week after week. I just have to make sure this pool is sanitized before summer comes along and we swim in it.

And interestingly enough, I went to google on how to get rid of mallards in swimming pool and there's actually answers in there. Looks like this is a common problem. So, I guess I'll know what to do this weekend. Pay a visit to Leslie's Pool Supply and spend some $$ and get some kind of contraption to scare the ducks away. Sigh, I have never ending problems don't I? Well, life's a learning process they say. How true.... How true....
