Today, I got woken up with a quack literally. Last week, my pool servicing guy asked me the most peculiar question when I apologized to him that the pool was very dirty than usual (I thought it was dirty from the wind that was howling carrying the wood debris from the garden into the pool). He asked, "Have you seen any ducks in the pool?" To my amazement, I answered "no, why?" Well, he said all the supposed debris is actually duck poop and I was in shock and horror. How can that be coz I haven't seen any ducks in there b4 apart from the toy ones sitting in there. So, he told me to be on the lookout for them. And so I did. Ed was the 1st to notice them yesterday evening when he was watching tv and heard them quacking happily in the pool. Well, obviously, yes, he did chased them out from the pool. These are actually mallards and what a nuisance they are. First, we have bird issues. Birds that pecked at our air vents and nest in there, birds that was persistent and pecked into the woodblock to rest in there and now ducks in the pool. Gosh, I wonder what's next. And it's frightening that the birds are getting bigger (get the picture? from a bird to now, a duck??).
This morning, at 6.52am, I heard a quack and that opened up my eyes. I peeped through my bedroom window and true enough, I see 2 mallards happily swimming in my pool. I quickly run downstairs, opened the door and chased them out from the pool. They flew away and I hope they won't come back coz if they do, I may consider catching them and making them into PEKING DUCK for dinner. Now, maybe, that's not such a bad idea, hahaha.
